Introduction

Established in 1996, the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) is the largest mathematics assessment organization in the UK, providing a wide range of nationally-accredited mathematics assessments to over 700,000 students in more than 6,000 schools each year.

Mathematical Olympiad for Girls (UKMT-MOG) is one of the UKMT’s series of assessments designed for girls to increase female participation in math assessments. The UKMT believes that the Olympiad should not just be a game for boys and to encourage more girls to study math, it has created the UKMT-MOG for girls in grades 10 and above.

Currently over 5,000 students in the UK register for the UKMT-MOG each year, attracting more and more female students to participate.

Rules

Exam Date: Sep 23, 2026 (Wed) – 150 mins

Time: 16:00 – 18:30 (GMT+7, VN Time)

Eligibility: Female students (Grade 10 -12)

Exam format:

Online-based with Answer Booklet required
Students will read the exam questions from the exam system and write down their answers on the answer booklet.
The answer booklet will need to be scanned into PDF and uploaded through our provided portals/links.

Scoring Rules:

A total of 50 marks can be achieved in the MOG
Each question carries 10 marks
Partial marks may be awarded for incomplete or partially correct answers
One fully correct answer will gain you more credit than several guesses
There are no negative marks for incorrect answers

Global Awards
● Distinction: The score line for 2025 is 24+

● Merit: The score line for 2025 is 14+

● Best in School: The player who ranks first in the school will be awarded this prize

● Best in Year: The player who ranks first in each grade of the school will be awarded this prize

Medals

About the top 70 participants in the UK will be awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze in the ratio of 1:2:3 respectively. Asian students will be awarded based on the UK award.

* The names of the awards may change every year, subject to the awards announced by the Organizing Committee in that year.

* Students who are awarded with Merit and Honorable Mentions will receive the corresponding certificates, while the rest of the participating students will receive electronic certificates of participation.
