INTRODUCTION
Biology Challenge (BC) is an exciting international competition organized by the UK Biology Competitions (UKBC) – a registered charity in England and Wales with over 26 years of experience in delivering top-tier biology exams. With the support of the Royal Society of Biology and the University of Warwick, the UKBC reaches more than 60,000 students annually with high-quality, engaging biology exams tailored for secondary school students.
This competition is designed to stimulate students’ interest in biology beyond the classroom. Participants are encouraged to explore biology through books, documentaries, and current events, deepening their appreciation of the natural world.

Participants from around the world will be assessed according to UK award boundaries. British students are ranked within percentiles, which set the bar for global recognition. International participants – including those from Asia – are judged against these same boundaries, offering greater chances to earn:
