HELD FOR THE FIRST TIME IN VIET NAM

- Delivering project-based learning experiences to nurture 21st century future business leaders

Introduction

ASDAN (Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network) is a UK- based education charity and an awarding organisation with over 40 years of experience in providing accredited curriculum programs and regulated qualifications to engage, elevate, and empower learners aged 11-25 years old worldwide.

In 2011, ASDAN UK created a formal partnership with Seed International Group Pte Ltd to start ASDAN China, an organization with exclusive rights under license to offer ASDAN qualifications and curriculum programs in the People’s Republic of China. ASDAN China provides a platform for students to explore their innovative capabilities and to hone their purpose and sustainability-driven business leadership through our A* Business Simulation challenge.

The A* Business Simulation (ABS) is a competition where students can virtually establish their own companies and make decisions on various aspects of their business from their company culture to their production needs.

ABS aims to help aspiring business leaders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow grasp a better logistical and strategic understanding of how to run a business. ABS delivers project-based learning experiences that help young entrepreneurs to thrive in the 21st century business environment, a sense of agency and belief in their ability to do more, and a capacity to work in collaboration to create the positive future that we all hope to see.

In 2024, for the first time, A* Business Simulation Competition is authorized to be organized in Vietnam by GENIUSSTAR company (Singapore).

What is A* Business Simulation

The A* Business Simulation provides students with a gamified, fun, and interactive experience of learning about entrepreneurship. Through a 2-day program, students form teams to establish their company and complete various tasks such as simulated business operations, a trading game, and road show presentation.

To maximize their chances of winning in this competition, students must work with their teams to strategise on how they would  tackle each challenge and to leverage the best strengths of each team member to achieve their team’s success.

Each section of the business simulation is designed to help students master key skillsets that entrepreneurs possess. The key sections include the business operations, pitch deck presentation, business battle, stock exchange challenge, and auction.
