GeniusStar Strengthens Educational Partnerships with the Launch of BIZCRAFT at Hanoi Westminster School

Discover how GeniusStar, Phan Anh Social Foundation, and Hanoi Westminster School brought BIZCRAFT to schools, empowering nearly 160 students through hands-on business experiences.

A Meaningful Partnership to Create New Learning Opportunities

Preparing young people for the future requires more than academic knowledge. Students also need opportunities to explore their interests, develop practical skills, and learn how to apply what they know in real-world situations. Recognizing the importance of experiential learning, GeniusStar, under Soon Cheng Pte. Ltd., partnered with Phan Anh Social Foundation and Hanoi Westminster School to introduce BIZCRAFT – Craft Your Business, a hands-on business experience program designed for students in Grades 4–9.

Through this collaboration, GeniusStar and its partners aim to bring business concepts closer to young learners in an engaging and accessible way. Rather than simply introducing students to business terminology or theoretical knowledge, the program encourages them to actively participate in activities that simulate different stages of developing a business idea.

The partnership also reflects a shared commitment to creating meaningful educational experiences beyond the traditional classroom. By combining educational expertise, community engagement, and a supportive learning environment, the three organizations seek to help students discover their potential and build essential skills from an early age.

BIZCRAFT – Craft Your Business: Learning Business Through Experience

Designed as an interactive business experience, BIZCRAFT gives students the opportunity to explore how a business idea can gradually develop into a product or concept that can be presented to others.

GeniusStar’s BIZCRAFT program is structured around practical activities that encourage students to think independently, collaborate with their peers, and make decisions throughout the experience. Participants are not simply observers; they take on active roles and engage in tasks that require creativity, strategic thinking, and communication.

A new chapter of GeniusStar collaboration begins.
Joining hands to empower the next generation.

From Resource Selection to Business Ideas

One of the key activities involves bidding for and selecting resources. Students must consider the resources available to them and make choices based on their ideas and objectives. This activity introduces them to the importance of planning, evaluating options, and allocating resources effectively.

After selecting their resources, participants move on to developing their own business ideas. They are encouraged to think creatively, identify possibilities, and consider how their initial concepts can be transformed into something tangible.

Turning Ideas into Products

The next stage focuses on product development. Students work together to shape their ideas and develop products based on the resources and decisions they have made.

This process allows participants to experience some of the challenges involved in turning an idea into a practical outcome. They need to exchange perspectives, discuss different approaches, and work towards a shared goal. Through these activities, GeniusStar creates an environment where students can learn by doing, making decisions, and adapting their ideas along the way.

Presenting Ideas and Communicating with Others

The experience concludes with students presenting their ideas and products to a panel of judges. This final stage gives participants the opportunity to communicate their thinking, explain their decisions, and demonstrate the value of their work.

Presenting in front of others also encourages students to organize their thoughts and express themselves with greater confidence. It helps them understand that developing a good idea is only one part of the process; being able to communicate that idea effectively is equally important.

5 Essential Skills Students Can Develop Through BIZCRAFT

Beyond introducing basic business concepts, GeniusStar’s BIZCRAFT program provides opportunities for students to practise skills that are valuable in both academic and everyday settings.

Creative Thinking and Problem-Solving

Students are encouraged to approach tasks from different perspectives and find ways to turn their ideas into practical solutions. When faced with limited resources or unexpected challenges, they must consider alternative approaches instead of relying on a single answer.

These experiences help nurture curiosity, flexibility, and the ability to think independently.

Teamwork and Collaboration

Working in groups requires students to listen to one another, share responsibilities, and coordinate their efforts. They learn that achieving a common goal often depends on how effectively each team member contributes.

These lessons are also relevant outside business activities, from completing school projects to participating in extracurricular activities.

Communication and Presentation

Throughout the program, students have opportunities to explain their ideas, exchange opinions, and present their final products. These activities help them practise expressing their thoughts clearly and communicating with different audiences.

Negotiation and Decision-Making

From bidding for resources to choosing how to develop a product, participants encounter situations that require them to evaluate options and make decisions. They also need to consider different viewpoints and negotiate with others to reach agreements.

Such experiences introduce students to the importance of making thoughtful choices and taking responsibility for their decisions.

Confidence and Initiative

By taking an active role in each stage of the program, students have opportunities to test their abilities, contribute ideas, and present their work. The process encourages them to take initiative and become more confident in expressing their perspectives.

These skills can support students as they take on new challenges in their studies and future activities.

Nearly 160 Students from 16 Schools Take Part in BIZCRAFT

Held from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, 24 October 2026, at Hanoi Westminster School, BIZCRAFT welcomed nearly 160 students from 16 schools.

The event brought together young participants with different backgrounds and perspectives, creating an engaging environment for learning and collaboration. Throughout the program, students took part in a series of business-related activities, moving from resource selection and idea development to product creation and final presentations.

For GeniusStar, the participation of students from multiple schools highlights the value of creating opportunities for young learners to connect, exchange ideas, and learn through shared experiences.

The program also demonstrated how business education can be introduced in an age-appropriate and engaging format. By turning abstract concepts into practical activities, BIZCRAFT helped students explore business-related thinking in a way that was accessible to their age groups.

Building a Future of Experiential Learning with GeniusStar

The BIZCRAFT collaboration represents a meaningful step towards expanding experiential learning opportunities for students. Through its partnership with Phan Anh Social Foundation and Hanoi Westminster School, GeniusStar continues to support educational experiences that encourage young people to explore, experiment, and develop skills beyond the classroom.

Programs such as BIZCRAFT demonstrate that learning does not have to be limited to textbooks or traditional lessons. When students are given the opportunity to participate in practical activities, they can gain a deeper understanding of concepts while developing the confidence to apply their knowledge in different situations.

For students in Grades 4–9, these early experiences can serve as valuable opportunities to discover new interests and recognize their own strengths. More importantly, they help students understand that learning involves not only acquiring knowledge but also knowing how to use it, work with others, and respond to challenges.

Through initiatives like BIZCRAFT, GeniusStar, Phan Anh Social Foundation, and Hanoi Westminster School share a common vision: creating more meaningful learning experiences that equip the next generation with the skills and mindset needed to navigate an increasingly dynamic world.
