On the morning of September 15, 2026, the Asia Business Simulation (ABS) experiential journey officially stopped at the Japan International School (JIS), delivering an energetic hands-on business and financial workshop for primary students.
Co-organized by the Phan Anh Foundation, SoonCheng, GeniusStar, and JIS, the program aimed to bring practical business mindsets closer to K-12 students through an experiential learning model.
1. The Strategic Resources Auction – The Highlight of the Workshop
One of the most captivating moments at the workshop was ABS’s signature simulated auction round. Despite their young age, JIS primary students surprised the Organizing Committee with their enthusiasm, sharp thinking, budget management, risk calculation, and resource optimization skills during the business simulation.

2. Cultivating Strategic Thinking and Teamwork Skills
Far from being a simple game, the workshop’s auction required teams to proactively discuss, negotiate, and make investment decisions to capture market opportunities. Through each bidding round, students honed:
2.1. Independent critical thinking

2.2. Problem-solving skills

2.3. Debating confidence and teamwork collaboration

These core competencies represent the essence of experiential learning that ABS delivers, enabling students to absorb business and financial knowledge naturally and practically compared to traditional learning methods.
3. Wrapping Up an Inspiring Experiential Morning
Bright smiles alongside commemorative gifts from the Organizing Committee in the hands of JIS students were clear testaments to a successful and meaningful workshop morning!

4. What is ABS Primary? Discovering the Program Behind the Workshop
The auction activity experienced by JIS students is just a snippet of the full journey within the Asia Business Simulation – Primary Division. Designed specifically for students in Grades 4 to 6, this edition builds upon the broader ABS framework—a program established in 2011 that has engaged over 100,000 participants across 3,000+ top secondary and international schools worldwide.
ABS Primary combines practical business curriculum from BizWorld—a Silicon Valley-founded educational initiative operating across 100+ countries with 600,000 participating educators and students—with ABS academic modules under a project-based learning methodology.
4.1. Team Structure and Roles in ABS Primary
In the official competition, students work in teams of 3–4 members to establish and run a simulated enterprise, assuming key executive roles:
-
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – General Management
-
Vice President of Product (VP Product)
-
Vice President of Sales (VP Sales)
-
Vice President of Finance (VP Finance)
By combining theory with real-world tasks—such as branding, production, operations, and product showcases—students develop essential problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and cash-flow management skills. These build a solid foundation for Financial Intelligence (FQ), recognized as one of the three essential modern social competencies alongside IQ and EQ.
4.2. The Journey from Regional Rounds to the Global Stage
Students begin their journey at the Regional Round, a 2-day in-person competition featuring 4 core challenges: resource allocation, brand design & launch, digital business simulation, and pop-up stores combined with investor pitches.
Top-performing teams at the Regional Round – including Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners or recipients of the BizWorld Young Entrepreneur Certificate (Top 70%) – qualify for the Global Finals, held within the ALL STAR Business Forum or World Youth Economic Forum (WYEF) in China, gathering top young business talents from over 12 countries.
Notably, top winners at the Global Finals and Gold Award teams from the Regional Round earn the opportunity to attend a 5-day BizWorld Bootcamp in Silicon Valley, USA – gaining firsthand experience in the world’s leading innovation ecosystem.

4.3. Organizers and Endorsers
In Vietnam, the ABS Regional Rounds are organized by ASEEDER (the official Hong Kong-based organizer presenting international academic challenges) and sponsored by ASDAN UK (a UK educational charity founded in 1980). ABS is certified by Cognia and accredited as an International Partner of WASC.
GeniusStar, an educational brand under SoonCheng Pte Ltd (Singapore), serves as the official coordinating partner in Vietnam, collaborating with the Phan Anh Foundation to execute this non-profit initiative aimed at empowering youth through soft skill development and global opportunities. Througout the ABS journey, participants also gain free entry to the preliminary round of the prestigious Harvard Crimson Business Competition (HCBC).
4.4. Next Destination: Wellspring International Bilingual School Hanoi
Following the successful stop at JIS, GeniusStar continues its journey, bringing the business and financial workshop series to students at Wellspring International Bilingual School Hanoi on Friday, September 18, 2026.

5. Expanding ABS Workshop Collaborations Nationwide
Driven by the mission to spread practical educational values, GeniusStar is ready to partner with schools across Vietnam to deliver hands-on Business & Financial Workshops tailored for K-12 students.
Educators and school administrators interested in hosting an ABS workshop at their institution are invited to contact the Asia Business Simulation Vietnam Fanpage for detailed program consultations.
