AWARD CEREMONY HONORING OUTSTANDING VIETNAMESE STUDENTS AT THE IEO GLOBAL ROUND 2026
On the afternoon of August 22, 2026, at Golden Palm Building in Hanoi, GeniusStar, in collaboration with Vimass, successfully organized an award ceremony to honor five outstanding Vietnamese students who represented the country at the 2026 International Economics Olympiad (IEO) in Greece.
The ceremony was attended by:

🔹 Representatives of GeniusStar – the official coordinator of the International Economics Olympiad in Vietnam and the organizer of the Economics Olympiad in Vietnam.

At the ceremony, the students were presented with well-deserved awards in recognition of their outstanding efforts and achievements:
🥇 1 Gold Medal — VND 200,000,000
🥈 1 Silver Medal — VND 100,000,000
🎖️ 3 Honorable Mentions — VND 25,000,000 each
A particularly meaningful moment of the ceremony was the presentation of awards and interaction with the students by Dr. Võ Trí Thành, Director of the Institute for Strategy, Branding and Competitiveness Research, together with Prof. Trần Văn Nhung and representatives of Vimass.
One of the most touching moments of the ceremony was the speech delivered by Prof. Trần Văn Nhung, former Deputy Minister of Education and Training. He shared:
“Learning to gain knowledge is important, but ‘Learning to live together’ is even more important. Your achievements today are truly worthy of recognition: before great intellect, I take off my hat; before a great heart, I kneel, because the heart will always uplift the mind. Therefore, learn to love your grandparents and parents first, and only then can you truly love this nation. And ultimately, most importantly, you must always think for the sake of Vietnam.”
A simple yet profound message: knowledge is the foundation for the journey ahead, but it is love for our family, our fellow human beings, and our country that gives knowledge its true meaning.
