BIZCRAFT 2026: Four Hours of Business Challenges, Creativity and Achievement
On October 24, 2026, 158 students across 44 teams from 16 schools gathered at Hanoi Westminster School (HWS) for BIZCRAFT 2026 – Craft Your Business: Bid & Pitch Challenge. Designed for students in Grades 4–9, the program was jointly organized by Hanoi Westminster School, Phan Anh Social Foundation, and GeniusStar.
Over four hours, participants stepped into the roles of young business leaders, taking on practical challenges that required strategic thinking, resource management, negotiation, and persuasive communication.
More than a competition, BIZCRAFT provided students with an opportunity to experience how business decisions are made, how ideas can be developed into proposals, and how teamwork contributes to achieving shared goals.
From the excitement of the Auction round to the confidence demonstrated during English presentations, the event celebrated not only outstanding performances but also the learning journey of every participant.

Two Rounds, Two Ways to Experience the World of Business
At the heart of BIZCRAFT 2026 were two main challenges: Auction and Pitching. Each round introduced students to a different aspect of business, allowing them to apply their knowledge through practical activities.
Round 1: Auction – Strategic Thinking and Resource Optimization

In the Auction challenge, teams had to make decisions with limited budgets and resources. Participants evaluated available options, considered investment strategies, and negotiated with other teams to secure the resources needed to achieve their objectives.
The challenge required more than quick decision-making. Students had to assess risks, prioritize their needs, and work together to make the most of what they had.
For the Primary and Junior divisions, the Auction round recognized teams that demonstrated strong strategic thinking and resource management.
Auction Award Winners
Primary Division
- First Prize: M3A (PR 20)

Round 2: Pitching – Turning Ideas into Persuasive Business Proposals

If Auction tested students’ ability to make strategic decisions, the Pitching round challenged them to turn their ideas into convincing business proposals.
Teams presented their ideas in English before a panel of judges, demonstrating their ability to identify problems, develop solutions, structure arguments, and defend their perspectives.
The Best Pitch awards recognized teams that stood out for their presentations across different grade levels.

Beyond the Competition: Nếp Nè Brings a Student Startup to Life
One of the special highlights of BIZCRAFT 2026 was the experience booth of Nếp Nè, the first startup incubated within the GeniusStar Business Club and ABS Vietnam ecosystem.
Nếp Nè represents the entrepreneurial journey of Team Prometheus, a group of students who previously participated in Asia Business Simulation (ABS). After not receiving an award at ABS Vietnam 2024, the team returned in 2025 to win the Junior Gold Award. Their experience continued at the ABS Global Final – All-Star 2026, where they encountered new challenges and gained further insights into developing their ideas.
Rather than stopping at competition achievements, the team chose to take their business ambitions further by developing Nếp Nè into a real startup project.
Inspired by sustainable living and traditional Vietnamese values, Nếp Nè creates environmentally friendly household products using natural materials sourced from Vietnam. By combining traditional materials with contemporary design, the project aims to bring sustainable living closer to modern families while introducing Vietnamese cultural values to younger generations.
The presence of Nếp Nè offered participants a tangible example of what business learning can lead to. It demonstrated that ideas developed through business simulations and competitions can become starting points for real-world projects when supported by initiative, experimentation, and persistence.

The Giving Tree: A Space for Students to Share Their Experiences
Beyond the competitive activities and award ceremonies, The Giving Tree became one of the most memorable features of BIZCRAFT 2026.
The installation was filled with colorful sticky notes on which students shared their thoughts, feelings, and reflections after the event. Some wrote about the new skills they had discovered, while others expressed their excitement, appreciation for their teammates, or pride in having challenged themselves.
Their messages revealed how the experience had changed their perspectives on business and learning.
One student shared that they had not been particularly interested in business before participating, but found it surprisingly enjoyable and recognized its importance in everyday life. Another described the event as an opportunity to give their very best for the first time.
Other participants highlighted how much they had learned and how much fun they had throughout the experience.
These personal reflections captured an important aspect of BIZCRAFT: creating an environment where students feel encouraged to try, express themselves, and learn without being defined solely by competition results.

Learning by Doing: The Lasting Value of BIZCRAFT
For GeniusStar, the value of BIZCRAFT extends beyond the awards and final rankings. It lies in the experiences that students gain through every challenge.
By managing limited resources, negotiating with other teams, presenting business proposals, and responding to questions from judges, participants had opportunities to develop skills that are valuable both inside and outside the classroom.
These include:
- Strategic thinking and financial awareness: Evaluating options, managing budgets, and taking responsibility for financial decisions.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving: Identifying challenges, analyzing situations, and developing practical solutions.
- Communication and negotiation: Expressing ideas clearly, listening to different perspectives, and reaching agreements.
- Teamwork and leadership: Sharing responsibilities, coordinating with teammates, and working towards common objectives.
- Confidence and initiative: Stepping outside their comfort zones and taking an active role in challenging situations.
This reflects the spirit of Learning by Doing that GeniusStar aims to promote: students learn not only by understanding concepts but also by applying them, making decisions, and learning from the outcomes.
Start Small, Think Big: What Comes After BIZCRAFT 2026?
GeniusStar believes that every practical experience can become a stepping stone towards a student’s future development. A business idea may begin as a classroom activity, a negotiation may become a lesson in communication, and a presentation may be the first step towards greater confidence.
GeniusStar would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Hanoi Westminster School (HWS) and Phan Anh Social Foundation for their partnership in organizing the event. We also thank the panel of judges, parents, and all 158 participants for their valuable contributions and enthusiasm.
The journey of these young business thinkers may have started with a single challenge, but the lessons and experiences they gained can inspire much bigger ambitions.
