GeniusStar Signs MOU with Alpha School and Hosts Asia Business Simulation Workshop for Over 100 Students

On October 19, 2026, GeniusStar (Soon Cheng) and the Phan Anh Social Foundation officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Alpha Education System (Alpha School). Marking a new milestone in educational collaboration, the partnership aims to bring practical business learning experiences and internationally oriented development opportunities to more students in Vietnam.

Alongside the MOU signing, an Asia Business Simulation (ABS) workshop was successfully held at Alpha School, engaging more than 100 students in an interactive business simulation. Through hands-on activities involving resource allocation, budgeting, negotiation, and strategic decision-making, students had the opportunity to experience how business decisions are made in a competitive market environment.

Strengthening Educational Collaboration to Develop Young Business Talent

The MOU between GeniusStar, the Phan Anh Social Foundation, and Alpha School establishes a foundation for further collaboration in experiential business education.

Through this partnership, the organizations aim to create more academic activities, business simulation experiences, and opportunities for students to develop essential skills from an international perspective. By connecting educational knowledge with practical application, the collaboration seeks to encourage students to explore their interests, strengthen their capabilities, and discover their potential in business and finance.

The partnership also reflects a shared commitment to making business education more accessible and engaging, allowing students to learn through participation rather than relying solely on theoretical instruction.

Asia Business Simulation Workshop Engages Over 100 Alpha School Students

As part of the program, the ABS workshop brought together more than 100 students at Alpha School for an immersive business simulation experience.

Coordinated by the Phan Anh Social Foundation, Soon Cheng, GeniusStar, and Alpha School, the workshop transformed business concepts into practical challenges. Students took part in a simulated marketplace where every decision involved evaluating resources, managing a limited budget, and balancing immediate needs against their team’s overall objectives.

The workshop featured three key learning experiences.

1. Resource Auctions: Making Strategic Decisions with a Limited Budget

Students participated in resource auctions, bidding for items such as machinery and selecting the raw materials needed to achieve their objectives.

With a limited budget, each team had to consider the value of available resources, assess its priorities, and determine how to allocate funds effectively. These activities encouraged students to think strategically, evaluate trade-offs, and understand how resource allocation can influence business outcomes.

Rather than simply choosing the most attractive option, students had to make decisions based on their team’s needs, available capital, and intended results.

2. Negotiation and Collaboration: Creating Value Through Partnerships

Competition was only one part of the experience. Students also negotiated and exchanged raw materials with other teams to complete their objectives of building office towers.

These interactions introduced students to the practical dynamics of negotiation and collaboration. They had to communicate their needs, assess potential exchanges, and identify opportunities to work with others while pursuing their own goals.

Through this process, students experienced how business relationships, strategic communication, and mutually beneficial agreements can play an important role in achieving results in a competitive marketplace.

3. Learning by Doing: Applying Business Knowledge in Practice

Throughout the auction and trading activities, students applied logical reasoning, budgeting skills, problem-solving, and teamwork.

The simulation allowed them to see how individual decisions could affect their team’s progress and outcomes. Concepts that might otherwise seem abstract became more tangible as students experienced the consequences of their choices in a structured, interactive environment.

This learning-by-doing approach is central to the value of business simulation education: students are encouraged to test their thinking, respond to challenges, and learn from the decisions they make.

The enthusiasm and active participation of Alpha School students reflected the engaging nature of the workshop and the value of providing young learners with opportunities to explore business concepts through experience.

Preparing Students for the ABS Hanoi Star Round

Beyond providing a practical introduction to business and finance, the workshop also served as an opportunity for students to become familiar with the simulation format and competition rules ahead of the official Asia Business Simulation (ABS) Hanoi Star Round 12/2026.

By participating in the workshop, students could gain a clearer understanding of the challenges involved, practise making decisions under constraints, and prepare to apply their knowledge in a more competitive setting.

The experience marked an important first step in their journey with ABS, encouraging them to approach future challenges with curiosity, strategic thinking, and confidence.

Bringing Experiential Business Education to More Schools

GeniusStar and its partners believe that students benefit from opportunities to connect classroom learning with real-world challenges. Business simulation workshops offer one way to create these opportunities by allowing students to explore decision-making, resource management, negotiation, and collaboration in a guided learning environment.

Following the successful workshop at Alpha School, the organizing team welcomes opportunities to collaborate with more schools across Vietnam to deliver business and financial education experiences to students.

Schools interested in hosting an Asia Business Simulation workshop or learning more about GeniusStar’s educational programs are invited to contact the GeniusStar team for further information.
